Every African Grey Parrot from Flori Birds undergoes extensive health screenings and care before leaving our sanctuary:
Full veterinary health check by a licensed avian veterinarian.
DNA testing and verification of sex.
Screening for common diseases such as PBFD, Psittacosis, and Polyomavirus.
Vaccinations and preventive care where required.
Thorough socialization, hand-raising, and early behavioral training.
We stand by the quality and health of every bird. If a parrot leaves our care, it has been certified healthy, emotionally stable, and ready to thrive in a new home.
Flori Birds provides a comprehensive refund policy for certain circumstances, always designed to prioritize the well-being of the parrot and the trust of our clients. Refunds may be considered under the following conditions:
Health Issues Not Disclosed:
If a parrot is diagnosed with a pre-existing health condition that was not disclosed at the time of sale, a full or partial refund may be issued upon verification by a licensed avian veterinarian.
Failure to Deliver:
In rare cases where delivery cannot be completed due to unforeseen circumstances and the parrot cannot be transported safely, the client is eligible for a full refund.
Misrepresentation:
If a parrot is demonstrably different from the description or specifications provided by Flori Birds (age, species, or genetic lineage), refunds or exchanges will be considered on a case-by-case basis.
Please note: Refunds will never compromise the health or safety of the bird. We reserve the right to retain the parrot in our care if returning it is necessary for its well-being.
Returns are designed to protect both the bird and the buyer. African Grey Parrots are highly intelligent and sensitive creatures; sudden changes in environment can cause stress and health risks. Therefore, returns are strictly guided and carefully managed:
Returns must be requested within 14 days of delivery or adoption.
The bird must be returned in the same condition as received, including any health certificates, feeding schedules, and care instructions.
Clients are encouraged to contact Flori Birds immediately if a return is necessary. Our team will provide step-by-step guidance to ensure safe and stress-free transport.
All return shipments are coordinated with our team to prevent injury or illness. Improper transport without our guidance may void the return eligibility.

Reason for return or refund request
Any relevant veterinary reports or supporting documents

Our team will review the request and may require a licensed avian veterinarian report to confirm the claim.
Return Arrangement:
If the return is approved, Flori Birds will guide you in safely transporting the bird back to our sanctuary or to an authorized veterinary facility.
Refund Issuance:
Once the parrot is safely returned and verified, refunds will be processed according to the method of original payment. Refunds are generally issued within 7–14 business days, depending on the payment platform.
In cases where a refund is requested due to health or suitability concerns, clients may choose a replacement parrot instead of a cash refund.
Replacement parrots are selected in consultation with the buyer.
The replacement must be equal in value and health standard to the original parrot.
Shipping and care arrangements for replacements follow the same safety protocols as original adoptions.
While we aim to provide maximum flexibility and security, the following limitations apply:
Refunds are not available for behavioral issues that occur after proper handover and adaptation period. African Grey Parrots are intelligent, and some behaviors develop after the first weeks in a new home.
Refunds are not issued due to changes in personal circumstances, financial issues, or buyer’s change of mind beyond the 14-day return window.
Parrots must remain under proper care during transit. Neglect or improper transport may void return or refund eligibility.
Any additional costs associated with transport back to Flori Birds must be coordinated with our team.
At Flori Birds, we view every adoption as a lifelong relationship. Even if a return or refund is necessary, we remain committed to the welfare of the parrot and the satisfaction of our clients.
Our team provides guidance to ensure returned birds are safe, comfortable, and stress-free.
Clients may receive advice or referral services if adoption circumstances change in the future.
All birds returned to Flori Birds are reintegrated into our sanctuary or rehabilitation program, ensuring continued care and protection.
